Well said. I hope people will tackle the ideas themselves instead of latching them onto people’s identities and using them as weapons to attack the integrity and morality of the idea bearer.

I believe it is intense because the outcomes matter greatly. What we are going through today is a battle for America’s heart. The trajectory will be decided from here on out, and the decisions we make today will affect us all tremendously down the line. Good or bad? We don’t know yet, but we’re all, in our own heads, trying to aim toward the good.
