That’s a great suggestion — many of us, especially in urban areas, feel pressured to be doing something at all times. With the rise of smartphones and instant access to everything, we’ve lost a lot of our tolerance with boredom. There’s something new happening every second — the perfect and ultimate solution to boredom.

It’s true that we do need moments throughout our day to just think, to quiet our brains and refrain from distracting ourselves with a source of entertainment. I don’t think many people enjoy introspection because they start to challenge their own beliefs. One’s mind can become one’s worst enemy and greatest challenge.

I agree that taking moments to be bored is vital — it’s weird because that used to be the norm. While things are ‘better’ in terms of convenience and quantity of entertainment, the quality might have been better back then because entertainment was a bit more rare so people were more appreciative of moments when there was any form of entertainment.

Thanks again for reading and sharing your thoughts!
