I’m sorry to hear that you went through such an experience. While this interviewer was a character in my imagination, I’m sure there are people out there who choose to exploit the power dynamic of interviewer vs. interviewee and take advantage of the situation to pursue their own interests. It’s quite unfortunate that some people choose to conduct interviews in unproductive and irresponsible ways — I hope you did not take anything to heart and that you were able to come out of the interview mentally stronger!
